Mr. Kanu Michael O. E.

Kanu MIchael O. E. (Mr) Hails from Arochukwu Kingdom in Abia state. He obtained B.Sc Hon. (Honours), Agriculture (Soil Science), University of Ibadan, Oyo State;M.Sc, Agronomy (Soil Survey and Pedology Crops), University Ibadan, Oyo State. He was the State Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources, Imo and Abia States Agric Officer II - Assistant Chief Agric Officer in charge of Projects(Youth and Rural Farms Programmes) and Managements; Executive Secretary Supervised Agricultural Credits Loans Board; Interim Manager Abia Palm Nigeria Limited and Interim Manager Abia Cashew Company Limited. 

In 2003-2020, he was also the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Chief Agric Officer - Directorate Officer Trees and Horticulture Crops Programme; Presidential Initiatives on Tropical fruits Programmes; Vegetable oil Development Programme; Head Horticultural Crops Value Chain/ Projects and Management; National Project Coordinator Food and Agriculture Organization/ Federal Ministry of Agriculture Technical Cooperation Projects on Plantain and Banana Development in Nigeria; National Project Coordinator Food and Agriculture Support project on Bio-rational Containment of TUTA Absoluta in Tomato Production in Nigeria; Member Governing Board National Horticulture Research Institute, Ibadan in Oyo State and many other positions not mentioned. Made a lot trips and tours both local and oversees in the course of my duties for technical and administrative purposes.

He is a Fellow Institute of Management Consultant (FIMC)/Certified Management Consultant (CMC); Fellow Corporate Administrators Institute (FCAI); Fellow Institute of Industrialist Corporate Administration (FIICA); Fellow Institute of Agric-business Management Nigeria (FIAMN)

He served in the Agricultural Sector for over three (3) decades and retired to the glory of God on attainment of mandatory age in the Federal Service. Thereafter on private life, he became the National Vice President of Technology Advancement in Cold Chain Facilities in West Africa and the Lead Consultant on Integrated Export Control Plan (Agricultural Produce and Products) for Nigeria. Currently, is an Expert in Agricultural Policy, Programme Formulation and Project Implementation.
