Kabiru Abubakar

Kabiru Abubakar is a seasoned professional with a wealth of experience in both the public and private sectors. Born on August 14th, 1969, in Birnin Kebbi, Kebbi State, he has dedicated his career to various fields, showcasing a strong commitment to personal and professional development.


Education has played a pivotal role in Kabiru Abubakar's journey. He pursued his education diligently, earning a Diploma in Computer Science from Usman Danfodiyo University and an HND in Business Administration from Kebbi State Polytechnic. He also holds an OND in Business Administration from Sokoto State Polytechnic. His educational journey began at G.S.S Gwandu, where he completed his WAEC in 1986, and Dukku Primary School in B/Kebbi, where he obtained his First School Leaving Certificate in 1980.Kabiru Abubakar's professional journey kicked off with a SIWES program at Pipelines & Product Market Company (PPMC), a subsidiary of NNPC, in 1989.


He later served as the General Manager of Bawa – Jega Custom Clearing & Forwarding Agent in Kebbi State Custom Command in 1992. His passion for community development led him to serve as the Coordinator of the Kebbi State Hydra Foam & Training Scheme from 2003 to 2007. During this period, he made a significant impact on local training and development initiatives. He continued to climb the professional ladder as the Deputy Director of Planning at Kebbi State Ministry of Agriculture from 1992 to 2007. This role allowed him to contribute to strategic planning in the agricultural sector, showcasing his expertise in planning and management.


Kabiru Abubakar's dedication and competence were further acknowledged when he served as the Senior Special Assistant to the Executive Governor of Kebbi State from 2007 to 2011. This role exemplified his ability to provide valuable advisory support at the highest levels of government, underscoring his proficiency in leadership and public service. His commitment to personal growth and professional excellence is evident in his pursuit of additional qualifications.


He has been recognized as a Fellow by the Institute of Management Specialists, the Institute of Management Consultants, and the Chartered Institute of Leadership and Governance.
